The fact that asianet is not promoting real music was clear from iss-07 itself. now most of the people are not watching iss from my observation. the same old songs, the same old type of comments and rounds. the beauty of real music has lost due to the over emphasis on performance rounds where singers put on different costumes and enact out different roles such as lovers, egg sellers, yakshis, draculas, carpenters etc etc while singing. the duet round indeed was a baffoonery show. Can we (India) really afford to spend 1 crore to find out an 'average' or 'above average' singer (with unreliable selection criteria)in the name of reality show? The judges also seem to be not serious while judging. Anyway it is a regular income for the 4 judges for one year. they don't have to think more than that,right?- doesn't matter whether true talent or singer is being promoted or not . After all this show is all about money.

The way of conducting a program to select good singers should not be like this. Why Asianet is giving lot of value for dance and acting? They should concentrate only on singing.
