Your problem is same as that of Asianet's Idea Star Singer 2007 judges and probably some people working behind the show. Your mind is pre-determined to support Najim by whatever means. I tried to point out how the judges tried to take the confidence away from Thushar and how he bounced back. I thought he would succumb to the pressure tactics of the judges. He proved otherwise. He is a marvelous competitor and full of musical talents.
You should go and see the episode of Najim singing in MSV's presence. So called Didi was seen influencing MSV for more marks. And she said 'the judges were so tensed' while he sang. Why are they tensed when he sings and why are they so easy when Thushar sings? You guess. If Thushar can overturn that attitude by sheer performance, at least try to appreciate his skills. HEY DUDE, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT CLASSICAL MUSIC IS "SHASTHEEYA SANGEETHAM". A GOOD SINGER IS ONE WHO HAS PROPER SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND IN MUSIC. When you said, Thushar got sms due to rakthasakshi image, you have degraded the level of the viewers. I believe that the viewers of ISS are much superior with their thoughts and actions.

Congratulations to all the finalist.Atleast 3 of them deserves to be there.Most of you might have noticed the distance everyone has traveled from their first song till the semifinal. Congratulations once again.Everyone enjoyed favoritism from the judges except Thushar. Every viewer saw how malicious the judges were towards Thushar till the Kacheri round and then the tables turned.Now Thushar has all the support of viewers who did not vote till now.Mark my words guys Thushar's votes will cross five figure mark, twice that of the next competitor. This is the best way to TEACH THE "3 MOOTHREES" a lesson. It doesn't matter who makes the money, but a fighter like Thushar needs to win and become a role model.

G.S if you dont know Hindi..thats your problem...Thushar's hindi and Tamil is not good at all...of course he is a very good singer...extremely good knowledge in classical field...but he is not versatile...ISS is about finding a talent that will go really far...and i am sorry to say thushar has tooo many limitations..thushar is extremely good at what he is good in and extremely bad at what he is weak in....in future he can do classical songs and slow songs ...no music directors will dare to make him sing a fast track even ...forget about other languages...and all the examples u have given... its not good at all forget about the pronunciation..even the lyrics was all wrong...and that too he was with roshan who is a very versatile singer and who was expelled before time.....there are too many pple out there who thinks that knowledge and talent to sing classical songs is the only aspect to make a great singer... but its just one of the aspects.... and there are too many aspects that should add up to it...some of which are god's gift at birth....I like thushar for his boldness ...he is a fighter and he deserves to be in finals like any body else there except Arun...of course..But there is more to najim talent wise than to thushar...as one of the guys said thushar might have too many votes for his fighter attitude and his talent....might even get the flat ..... but Najim will goo much much much further than him..we will all seeee that...

Language of music is NOT Hindi, Tamil or Malayalam. Music is a UNIVERSAL language. No one can pronounce all the 15 Indian languages equally well. Roshan was the best with his Hindi and north indian songs. Durga and vani were reasonably good in Tamil. But when it comes to malayalam it is certainly Thushar, Arun and Amrutha.
Najim's voice is husky and one feels that it fits everywhere. Even such a voice takes care of mistakes and faulty pronounciation. this should not be the definition for versatility.

Many people wants to tarnish the image of Thushar by saying over and over again "fighter attitude" "opposing judges" "rakthasaakshi" etc. All of these is a result of his firm stand in one performance round when he was given very low marks. After that round manytimes the judges have pointed out his mistakes and he had accepted them full heartedly. This shows that he is a very matured singer who understands very well what he really deserves and what he doesn't.

Having been a regular reader of this site for the past few days, I feel that the competition is clearly between Thushar and Najim. And all the people who support one of these 2 feel that the other is an equally good singer. It is just that little bit leaning for one person due to personal preferences. Najim, has more often than not got the marks he deserved. Occasionally, he has got less, while occasionally he has got more. But generally his marks have been commensurate with his performance. But the fact remains that Thushar has not been give the deserved marks by the judges. They seem to have something against him. May be they cannot stand his maturity and boldness. May be they are wary of his knowledge in music and just want to break his confidence, create confusions in his mind. Whatever be the reason, it was reasonably evident that he was not given his due on more occasions than that which can be considered within the realm of normalcy and human error. Anyway, what is done is done. My best wishes to both of them!!

Thushar is 30+ age..others are much younger...he shows that exp.and maturity...Have lot more years karnatic exp than najim...so he did well in kacheri..but kacheri not the highest yardstick to measure the best singer.....He lacks versatility and consistency despite lots of years of practice....

In the world of music, perfection does not simply come from age and experience. Look at the words of the honorable judges of IDEA STAR SINGER - 2007 after Thushar's Kacheri round:
M G Sreekumar - Ente manassilu Thushaaraanu yeettavum nalla singer.
(In my mind Thushar is the best singer)
Sharath - Jnanum kacheri okke nadathunna aalayathukondu parayuvaanu. 30 varsham paadikkazhinjalppolum engane paadan pattumoennariyilla.
(I'm saying as a person with experience doing kacheri. I do not know if anybody can sing like this even after 30 years of doing kacheris).
So my humble request to everybody is to recognize the real talent. It is boundless, not limited by age, language, race or nationality.

I've been watching talented singers perform in Various Indian shows, American and Indian Idol, America's got talent, Briton's got talent etc etc. But i've never seen a more talented and better performance in my lifetime.. For a moment i forgot it was a competition on TV. I thought it was a Live Kacheri!!!! Congratulations and all the very best to Tushar...

i know this guy from my school days, few weeks before ISS starts, i happen to know he is just S/W professional and not much in music ...really felt bad, but when he is through each elimination..really prayed ,let him bring his best output in next stage...
but before ISS concludes, he proved that he is a real musician..Hats off to Thushar and great thanx for amidalaneboo... (hope am rt) to take the effort to post all the videos..

Tushar was being abused (marks)with all his performances by giving low marks and he was down (anyone would be depressed with the judges comments towards his performances).Now he is back with a BANG!! Will pray for you TUshar.

I had always believed that you are the best amongst the Idea Star Singers. Somehow things didn't go well. I had painfully watched you go through the danger zone so many times despite your talent. God was with you at the right time Thushar and I am thankful to god for this.

I have earlier mentioned on this blog, how Thushar's performances had been misjudged so many times. One could feel with each passing episode, that the judges were directing too much of negativity at him. For what reason, we may never know. But when it came to pure classical music which anyway has the touch of divinity and when Thushar sang it to perfection (again obviously and as he himself said with divine help), the judges could not but keep aside all their agenda. And praise Thushar like anything. This shows the presence of that great power which is watching over our actions. However much we manipulate our actions in accordance with our interests and ego, that power will make us act in the right manner at some point of time. All vested interests should note this and improve in the 2008 edition!!!!!!

Thushar is the best singer and the most honest of the contestants. He is quite well-behaved too (that of course, all the contestants have been)!! I hope Thushar gets the crown (the flat, I mean)!!!!!. This shows the presence of that great power which is watching over our actions. Felt very happy for Thushar after seeing his classical performance. Basically i am a fan of music and have learnt music. I don't support anyone at ISS but only appreciate good music. One day a singer sings well another day he doesn't. . But felt that Thushar was not given the due credit in the finals round. His thillana for not all that bad as to get such bad scores. All singers are good. We are enjoying this programme. If I have to choose one for the ISS-2007 star title, it would be Thushar.

Thushar's swaraganga was flowing with such a power that anyone can't imagine. His voice is superb. His style is superb superb. His music knowledge is mega superb. Najim has to go a long way to be anywhere near Thushar's talent.

I feel how much ever we praise Thushar for his kacheri it is not enough. When I am tired of my work couple of times I watched Thushar's kacheri. I have noticed that after watching his kacheri I ended up having fresh energy in me. I don't want to restrict my words in praising him. The more I listen to his kacheri I feel that the music is coming from some celestial world through Thushar filling the atmosphere with divine energy. His talent goes beyond the level of a competiion.
Both Thushar and Durga have talents in abundance which is not common. It is the duty of the esteemed musicians to identify and use it (also that of the music lover's). Like a diamond, the more you rub, the brighter it shines. I will miss both of you. All the best.

I am happy with whatever I learned from my Hindi classes in School/College/Hindi Prachar Sabha.
Your problem is same as that of Asianet's Idea Star Singer 2007 judges and probably some people working behind the show. Your mind is pre-determined to support Najim by whatever means. I tried to point out how the judges tried to take the confidence away from Thushar and how he bounced back. I thought he would succumb to the pressure tactics of the judges. He proved otherwise. He is a marvelous competitor and full of musical talents.
You should go and see the episode of Najim singing in MSV's presence. So called Didi was seen influencing MSV for more marks. And she said 'the judges were so tensed' while he sang. Why are they tensed when he sings and why are they so easy when Thushar sings? You guess. If Thushar can overturn that attitude by sheer performance, at least try to appreciate his skills.

Sorry Nair, dont compare him with Thushar.. Najim might be the ISS-2007 winner.. But it had been done through some indescent and distorted deeds which had done in the back ground!! Let the time proves...

Now the result is out. Still I remember the Kacheri sung by Tushar. I also remember the treatment given by the judges and a "celebrity guest". Hope same will not be reapeated in the new show.
