This is the hidden agenda of judgement in Idea Star Singer. Whenever the favorite contestant performs, the anchor carefully listens to the comments from all the judges including the celebrity and makes a decision from whom to start with for marks. If the celebrity judge has given excellent comments, naturally he will be chosen first so that the contestant gets maximum marks in the beginning (For e.g. Hisham gets 22 marks from Gangai Amaran).The other judges will give reasonable marks if the celebrity gave very high marks. If celebrity gave average marks, the other judges raises their moderation.In certain cases where the celebrity judge is tough but reasonable with marks (Najim gets 18 marks from Ouseppachan) the other judges will make sure that they give maximum marks so that their favorite contestant is on top. Regarding the "not so favorite or unfavorite" contestants the rules vary according to the situation. If the permanent judges completely fail to find out any mistakes, the contestant will get average marks.Did you guys get the IDEA?

After Najim's singing today, the music director of the song, Sharath had nothing to say as other judges have pointed out all the up and downs. How ever, when his turn came for awarding the marks, Sharath disagreed with Ouseppachan and gave very high marks!

OUSEPPACHAN IS A GENTLEMAN. HE THOUGHT THAT THE COMPOSITION BY SHARATH WAS VERY TOUGH AND COMPLICATED AND THAT NAJIM ARSHAD DID NOT REACH UP TO THAT LEVEL. SO HE GAVE HIM 18 MARKS. SHARATH BY GIVING 21 MARKS HAS CLEARED THE PRE-NOTIONS OF OUSEPPACHAN AND PROVED THAT IT IS SUCH A SIMPLE AND SILLY SONG AND NOT AT ALL DIFFICULT TO SING.

NO ONE COULD EVER DISAGREE THAT THERE IS A HUMAN FACTOR INVOLVED WITH EVERYTHING WE DO. IF WE ENCOURAGE THE PERFORMANCE OF AN ARTIST, IT WILL CERTAINLY REFLECT IN THEIR FORTHCOMING PERFORMANCES. MY FEELING IS THAT THUSHAR AND DURGA SHOULD NOT PACK AND LEAVE. THEY SHOULD FIGHT AND PROCEED. THEY MUST WORK HAREDER AND DO BETTER PERFORMANCES THAN OTHER CONTESTANTS. THAT MAY NOT FETCH THEM MARKS FROM THE PARTIAL JUDGES OF THE SHOW, BUT WILL CERTAINLY GET THEM A LARGER AUDIENCE THAN THE JUDGES THEMSELVES. AS OUSEPPACHEN SAID SAID, THE ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE SHOULD BE TO ATTAIN A HIGHER LEVEL IN SANGEETHAM AND NOT THE FLAT.

long time ago there was a rumor that najim already won. I did not believe that at that time. Now everything is very clear to me. Partial Judges should go to hell for hurting the feelings of Thushar and Durga

If the judges' 'not so favorite' contestants are leaving the show, these judges will happily make their fvourite contestants as winners. They should not be allowed to do so. Now a stage has come where the public have a role to play. No other efforts will help. The public have to interrupt the show and put these judges in house arrest and warn Asianet to assign the job of judgement to some other judges who are not partial at the same time eminent like Ouseppachan sir.This act can be considered under 'protection of majority of people's interests'. In any case , the strength of public is significant at this stage .

I think all these rumors are crap! there is no solid proof about any partiality. If they wanted Najim to win, they could've given him 24 all the time. why are you judgemental about the judges and not the singers? y didnt u say it was partiality towards Arun when he got into the semi finals?
you dont need the judges to decide who is the best singer. Open your ears and listen! Najim sings at the right sruthy and with the bhavam; he is also very devoted. Even Durga and Thushar are good. They are the ones who deserve the second and third prizes respectively.

what do u mean no partiality in the show. what happened to sannidhanam, they used him in the beginning and then gave him almost 4 lakhs and openly announced "some phony people from Dubai offered him money".(Idiots like xxx believed it)
The only reason they did not give 24 marks to Najim was there are still intelligent people(unlike you) there who will probably come out and beat the crap out of this people.
You got it wrong about arun. Even the gretest musician of all time MS viswanathan offered him a chance to sing. why didnt he offer that to Najim?
Oseppachan was absolutely right about Najim. I am not saying he is the worst singer out there. I actually like the guy. But everytime the Judges try to treat him different than Durga and Thushar.
Also why are they trying to protect so hard Hisham who does not have a classical back ground. Last time we heard he went to audition for AR rehmana nd not selected. Even he and his uncle said last time they dont deserveto be the same stage with Thsuhar.

you say that the judges are biased only because you firmly BELIEVE that they are partial. well, I believe otherwise! in the finals I think they are giving lower marks to better singers like Najim, Thushar and Arun(70 for classical! can you believe it?) even Hesham got more!.I think bacause of all these rumors, chances of Najim winning is very low even though he is the best because if he is chosen then people like Salim will criticise asianet!

really me too have same feelings, sometime we were thinking why these two judges has given more marks to najeem, are they really supporting him to get flat.. najim i liked him b4, but now i am not supporting he is not giving any performance as b4, and i support Durga or Amrita....they are doing well and these judges has to re-think and give more marks to these young girls.

really these days ideastar programe is getting very bore,i used to change to Amrita channel at the same time, now ideastar programe is full of saregamapa, thilana, kacheri.. what is going on ??????..... and we need latest malayalam duet songs and need enjoyment not always sa sa sa re re re ga ga ga really really boaring, so i hope 2008 progrme will be bright and interest, i support all judges and anchor.

yes i do think the judges are playing a silly drama, and sheding crocodile tears when a singer gets eliminated like they did with hisham, who was at the 3rd position in singing and just because of lesser sms he has been eliminated. poor lad came from saudi arabia was unable to get many sms. is it sms contest or a singing competition.

When we see Najim singing, we might feel like he is trying to push a heavy stone on the top of a mountain.. In one episode, he tried to sing "Ezhu Swangalum...." It was totally a disaster and it revealed his quality as a singer. He has slot of breathing problems in high pitch notes. Neverthless he is a good singer (but definitely not great!!) but not deserved to be ISS-2007 winner. Thushar, Amrutha and Durga are far better than him

The judges are really experienced in the singing field. That is why they are eligible to sit on that seat. How can people critisize them? Then anyone could have sat there. Only honesty work out in Idea Star Singer..........
And Najim Arshad would surely win the flat worth 40 lakhs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
