The judges were not selected properly. We have 3 people who are completely appreciative of male singers. Doesn't matter how they perform the females, particularly Amrutha Suresh (who I personally regard as equal to Najim as the top 2 contestants), are always given average marks. I request the readers to hear the actual gazal sang by Chitra Singh and compare with Amrutha's singing. Remember we are the ultimate judges, because ultimately the music is made for common folks like us. Sharath has his own taste and abilities (unfortunately which is not much appreciated by the music audience, right??). How many films was he involved in malayalam?? How many of his songs do you hum to yourself when you are bathing?? probably NONE, right??? Now Didi is another fault that happened in this jury. She has no opinion about songs. She should have been a permanent celibrity judge instead of the actual judging team. We should have had ACTUAL FEMALE singers like Chitra/sujatha/many others even old jewels like Janaki/vanni etc. Then the females would have been heard better. Remember I love the way Najim sings, no question, but Amrutha is there on the top with him. Time will prove that. I hope Jayachandran sir the previous judge is watching this program. There is absolutely no way that people like Vijay, Sanni, Roshan would have been in the 9th round. Now reg Roshan, remember, he is excelling in Hindi, right?? Do you honestly think he would succeed in the Bollywood???? Do you?? pls ask yourself before judging a person who sings hindi songs. My friend even a common person in Bihar would sing better gazals and we literally cannot survive in that tough competition. We need people singing good quality malayalam songs to come up, may be tamil but never hindi. It is simply beyond us to produce a good quality hindi singer. So please those of you who are fan of Roshan for singing Hindi songs, remember to hear a few of the real hindi singers and see whether your favorite singer will be even given a chance to sing in a hindi movie if he reaches top 5 in the idea star singer. Vani is beutiful and also has a nice voice. I personally put her at #3 below Amrutha/Najim. Now be your own judge. To Hell with Sarath, you my friend is the best judge because you are the ultimate buyer of music. Take your time and intelect to judge.
